Train the mind. The body will follow! (I know this is some Matrix $#!+)
"Train the mind. The body will follow!"
Not really sure where that quote came from, but there is soooOOO much truth to that statement! In order to be successful in this program you have to seriously mentally "check-in"! What do I mean by that you say? Exactly the opposite of mentally checking out the day before you go on vacation.
The right frame work of your mind will steer you in the right direction. A mentor once told me that "life is like driving a car, where ever you are looking you will tend to steer in that direction"... so if you focus on the positives you will tend to follow that path of your goal and the opposite is true as well that if you focus on how you have come short you will also steer in that route!"
Let me put it this way... I know you've heard this quote before... "if you think you can or if you think you can't" you are right! So mentally checking-in just means learning to focus on your goal even if you don't believe in yourself just yet.
Trust me!!! There is a truth to this madness, how do I know?! Cause I have been there. When I first started working on the program/philosophy I doubted myself. I started to think...
"Your too old now so your metabolism has slowed down."
"There's no way you can beat your peak!"
"Your body has adjusted to your lifestyle now and you don't move as much as you did in college."
"How can you make time when you have your kids, bills, work, etc...?"
so on
and so on.
Well I am here to tell you my friend that the secret lies in baby steps, consistency and intuition. All of which I will elaborate in the next posts. But for now you will have to believe me that even if you think you are lying to yourself, if you say it enough times your mind will finally start to believe you. So don't sell yourself short just yet. Just keep telling yourself who you are going to be or what you are really going to accomplish.

Great job, bro! You’re definitely living proof this is possible. Baby steps. Taking the first step is not the hardest for me. It’s being consistent. Ok, I’ll keep telling myself the lie until it becomes true. Thank you babe!
